On January 11, 2021, the MD&A amendments were published in the Federal Register. They will be effective February 10, 2021 - and early compliance is permitted for filings made after that date. When the SEC amended the MD&A and financial disclosure rules in late November, it established a long lead-time for mandatory compliance. However, early compliance is permitted - and a number of companies are considering whether to take advantage of the new rules and streamline their disclosure for this year's Form 10-K.
